Chairman Steve Lee said since taking over the business in January, it is now fully re-established and is providing a range of exceptional architectural ironmongery products through a number of partners.

Laidlaw has eight regional centres across the UK, with 130 highly skilled staff who are trained to offer technical expertise for even the most complex architectural ironmongery, balustrades and access control system needs across all sectors, including residential, health, education, leisure and commercial. It also works with companies to develop innovative bespoke products, priding itself on its attention to detail.
The extensive Laidlaw Architectural Ironmongery range includes handles, locks, closers and signage, as well as solutions for specialist applications such as mental health. It also provides a range of performance-critical ironmongery for door manufacturers to incorporate into fully integrated doorsets. Technical staff, most of whom are qualified to the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers Diploma standard, can provide an end-to-end service, including specification, design, manufacture, supply and project management.
Laidlaw also offers a bespoke service to specifiers, providing design, prototyping and manufacturing of architectural ironmongery products specifically to meet a client’s needs.
The outstanding Laidlaw balustrades range complies with all the necessary Building Regulations and BS/EN recommendations for structural stability, safety and accessibility. They come in a range of materials – including timber, stainless steel, glass and coloured nylon finishes that enable customers to match corporate colours and attain bespoke design options.
And the Laidlaw Security Systems specialist business unit provides premium security solutions including access control, door automation, CCTV and mechanical locking solutions. The team provides the highest levels of service throughout the process, liaising with clients, specifiers and contractors to ensure the system developed and installed is perfect for any company’s existing – and future – needs.
