Liebherr Sunderland Works Ltd is a manufacturing plant for maritime cranes and cargo handling equipment including ship and port cranes, offshore cranes and mobile harbour cranes. The business started production in 1989 but recently underwent a full office refurbishment.

Laidlaw supplied Integrated Doorsets with accompanying Architectural Ironmongery for the refurbishment project on behalf of Ashbrook Construction Services.

Laidlaw supplied 21 doorsets to the Liebherr Sunderland Works office refurbishment all finished in Formica Laminate.

A mixture of door types was supplied to the project, including flush door and doors with, and without vision panels. Laidlaw also supplied timber glaze screens to the project where required. Frames and architraves were also supplied by Laidlaw.

As part of the Integrated Doorset package, a full suite of Architectural Ironmongery was also supplied. This includes hinges, door handles, kick and push plates, signage, pull handles, door closers, locking cylinders and more.

How Laidlaw Helped

Laidlaw was able to fulfil all of the needs of this project due to the flexibility of our service and wide range of doorset options available.

It was important that the style and colour of the new doorsets was fully inkeeping with the new look of the office. Laidlaw sent the architects samples of many colours and finishes to help them to make an informed decision that ensured a cohesive look.

Preparation for the locks and flush bolts was performed offsite by Laidlaw. For the customer, this saves both time and money, ensuring a much faster and easier installation.

We found your service excellent. Coherent and reliable communication from tender to delivery. The end product looks superb and both ourselves and the Client were delighted with the new doors.
