When connected to the building fire/smoke detection and alarm system electromagnetic door retainers, door closers and floor springs will allow a fire door in a high traffic location, such as a corridor, to be held open during normal use. In an emergency situation, the holder is de-activated and the door closes under the action of the door closer. The door can always be pulled manually off hold open to allow the door to close.
Laidlaw floor springs are supplied as complete units with accessories for both single-action and double-action doors. Available as fixed or variable power units to EN1154 and EN1155 offering a closing range from approx. 170 degrees.
Floor springs are great for use in high traffic areas and public buildings.
