The Laidlaw & Thomson bespoke service offers customisation across the full range of door furniture, allowing architects, designers and other specifiers to have something a little more individual.

Whether a cutting edge architectural project or historic restoration, you can have exactly what suits your building or complements other fittings within the building.

We can create something new or unique to suit your needs. Alternatively, by using high tech reverse engineering techniques, we can re-master an old classic or historic handle for a heritage project or listed building.

To complete the service we can offer a wide range of materials and finish options to complement on-trend interior designs or to replicate a specific historic piece.

TECHNOLOGY & CRAFTSMANSHIP

All products are produced using the highest grade materials and manufacturing methods.

We pride ourselves in working with skilled craftsmen who will carefully produce and hand finish beautiful products to your exact requirements.

Our expertise in project management and excellent track record of delivery will give you added peace of mind and ensure your project is completed on time.

New Product DEVELOPMENT

You can supply us with a new design of your own or discuss alterations to one of our existing designs. A sketch or data file is all we need.

We will take your design and produce a fully detailed CAD drawing suitable for the manufacturing process.

REVERSE ENGINEERING

3D laser scanning technology is used to accurately map existing designs. If the item cannot be removed we are able to undertake this process with the item still in situ.

The scanned data is used to produce a 3D CAD model which can be manipulated and used for further processing.

Using the data from the CAD model we can use a high-resolution 3D printer to produce a physical resin model for you to check and evaluate if necessary.
