Established in 1876, Laidlaw has been providing architectural products to the UK construction industry for over 140 years.
Laidlaw is the leading independent solutions supplier of architectural hardware, access control, integrated doorsets and balustrade, offering a wide range of architectural products that combine design and function across a broad band of product categories.
We pride ourselves on our combination of quality products and unrivalled levels of specification support. Our experts stay up to date with the market requirements and technical specifications to ensure Laidlaw remains at the forefront of the markets we serve.
Laidlaw’s team of GAI trained consultants are available to assist with all of the detailed product enquiries associated with the specification of fully integrated doorsets including guidance on the Equality ACT, AD M and BS 8300 or test certification for fire door applications.
Orbis products are subject to continual design and manufacturing development in order to improve performance or to meet the changing demands of standards, testing or other building legislation.
Laidlaw’s scheduling team will produce fully detailed door and ironmongery schedules along with a full bill of materials. Laidlaw will then project manage the supply of product including the manufacture of special or bespoke items; supply relevant installation drawings; and, where necessary, certification and delivery schedules.
As part of our ongoing commitment to education and training, we offer a series of 5 RIBA approved CPDs including one of the core curriculum subjects, Access for All.
Laidlaw will work alongside the customer’s project management team to ensure the product arrives on site in the most appropriate form. This could include labelling to the architect’s door numbers, or already installed as part of the integrated doorset package. Laidlaw will ensure deliveries are made in full and on time.
